Commentaries About Life
Saving the Children (August 7, 2009)
How can we save the planet?
According to LiveScience.com, the answer is to have fewer children. They claim that having one less child is 20 times better for the environment than driving a high mileage car, recycling, or using energy-efficient appliances and light bulbs.
Instead of seeing the great potential and joy that each new child brings, these modern scientists have turned them into a problem. At the same time, the film Demographic Winter has shown the extreme social and economic problems that are starting to happen in many nations because of a lack of enough children.
While we should use the resources God provides responsibly, any future that this planet has rests entirely in His hands. We should be more concerned about saving the lives of children and getting them saved to spend eternity with Him!

The Adoption Option (July 13, 2009)
Children are wanted for adoption.
However, there are very few babies available for anyone to adopt. The latest federal data shows only 6,800 babies a year are relinquished at birth for adoption. This is a very small number, considering that there are nearly 3 million unwed pregnancies each year. It would be great if the moms were keeping all these babies, but the reality is that about 35 percent of them are aborted.
Meanwhile, there is great demand among couples who want to adopt children. Pollster Richard B. Wirthlin estimates that there ten million – ten million American couples who “would likely attempt to adopt an infant domestically if they felt they had a realistic opportunity to do so.
So, don’t believe the lie that some children aren’t wanted. Ten million families are waiting with open arms, hearts, and homes!

Pro-Life America (May 21, 2009)
More Americans are pro-life than pro-abortion.
That’s the good news that two new national polls show. A poll released by Gallup last Friday found that 51 percent of Americans call themselves pro-life with just 42 percent saying they support legal abortions. The Gallup poll also showed that more Americans support making abortion illegal than at any time in the last 15 years.
Another poll conducted for Fox News by Opinion Dynamics helps us to confirm those results. Their survey of 900 registered voters asked "On the issue of abortion, would you say you are more pro-life or more pro-choice?” It found that 49 percent of Americans say that they are pro-life and 43 percent support abortion.
In these trying times, America is becoming more pro-life!
